1.  Release History

October 11, 2012

Adaptive Print Studio 1.1.0 rev. 120927 is released.
This version has been tested with:

General APS

• Using Display names besides item names.

Media Manager

Image Processing:

• Default value 25 MB for "upper limit file size" field when unable to parse the value from the template (/sitecore/templates/Print Studio Templates/Processing Jobs/ProcessingItems/P_Check File size).
• Upload/Convert Popup Meta: Show Rich text toolbar buttons when editing rich text field.
• Removed unique folder name generation (as in folder_1, folder_2 etc), and when copying folder change name to "Copy_"+original folder name. Images unique name generation remains – (Image, Image_1, Image_2).

Print Studio Editor

• Sticky note: background fix;  date created/user stamp removed, default "Add note" removed.
• Show flow textframes as greek types (gray lines).
• IME support enabled for Silverlight.

InDesign Connector

• Workbox info localization and refreshing when item is selected.
• Execute Workflow Command by ID.
• Generate unique names when adding/creating sections, fields and masters.

Improvements

Installation

• Install the appropriate (x32, x64) leadtools dlls depending on system - Enable32BitApplications=true in the AppPool is no longer needed.

Performance

• Content tree loads only one level for better performance.

Publishing

• Cache optimization: copy images and masters in cache only once.
• Dynamic data in text frame (use data assigned to snippet).
• Print Dynamic script changed to allow dynamic data.

2.  Known Issues

The list of known issues in the latest version of the Adaptive Print Studio module.

• InDesign/InCopy Connector: In some cases a warning is displayed in the InDesign desktop/InCopy desktop when a horizontal and/or vertical line is published. Just ignore the warning when it appears; the line is published correctly.
• InCopy Connector: When a user with administrator rights tries to save a page in InCopy, it indicates that they do not have sufficient rights. Recommended workaround: log in as a user without administrator rights instead.
• Print Studio Center: In some scenarios the z-index of the “Default” layer is not displayed correctly in the Print Studio Editor. Recommended workaround: ensure all objects are on the correct layers.
• Print Studio Center: not displayed correctly on client computers that use a resolution of less than 1152x864px. The recommended width is 1152px minimum. On screens with a resolution of less the scroll bar and command buttons are shown in two rows.
• Print Studio Center: using a complex structure in combination with a very large amount of items, can degrade performance. This can be solved by performing a database, indexes and links clean-up in Sitecore.
• Print Studio Center: in some cases the conversion of an EPS file does not generate a preview image. This is caused by the thumbnail image data in the EPS file.
• InDesign Server CS5.5 (JP/EN) – Active X error for Japanese OS 2008 server version (32/64bit). InDesign Server CS5.5 Japanese or English version does not publish and shows error in event log. Work around is use English operating system for running InDesign Server CS5.5.
